For first drafts and first performances. For stories still finding their voice. For songs played a little nervously but with a whole lot of heart. We believe everyone deserves a place where they can show up as they are and feel welcome to stay awhile.

At its heart, The Open Shelf is a community library and 100% gluten-free bakery, built on the simple joys of good books, warm cookies, and shared space. Our shelves are open. Our tables are meant for lingering. Our doors are open to readers, writers, musicians, artists, board game lovers, and anyone who needs a quiet corner or a friendly room.

We proudly support indie authors and beginner musicians by hosting author signings, open mics, acoustic sets, and creative gatherings. This is a place to practice, to listen, to try again, and to be celebrated for starting at all.
